Having device support is necessary to test drive some of @phosh@social.phosh.mobi 's features for immutable as there are some limitations to what you can do in a VM and some problem's only come up in certain setups (like all the firmware issues on qcom) and you only get a "feel" if it works alright if you use it daily.
As one purpose is to make current development branches available easily targeting immutable is a good fit too as you can roll back without issues.

@isyourbrainFOSS@mastodon.social Whether it becomes daily drivable (as often in Free Software) depends to a large degree on what people make out of it (i.e. contribute patches). We also learned that nobody takes you seriously if you don't have something to download but that's a totally different story, people have been conditioned by iOS and Android, and we can't simply undo that. 2/2 @phosh@social.phosh.mobi @mobian@fosstodon.org @postmarketOS@social.treehouse.systems
