my best counterexample was not photographed and it was just "HAMBURGERS" painted onto a piece of wood emulating a reasonable typeface, single color no shenanigans
second best is this
there were of course signs made with a lot of design sense and high effort but people who can do that don't go to synthetic images; ren faire vernacular decoration is what i'd like to uphold

i used to get sniffy when i could see digital art shortcuts in finished work (like: you didn't actually draw out both sides of something, you did one side and then copied and flipped it so line weights identical, implied shadow doesn't make sense, eye shines drive me batty for this because it's so low effort to correct) but wandering around yesterday catching them i felt like.... well..... at least a person did do whatever was done here
