@skylar@misskey.yandere.love @snappler@poa.st yeah my first idea was an inline mixing chamber of some kind, but I thought of the pressure injection idea when I was thinking through the issues with my overcomplicated mixing chamber concept and it just seemed like a better idea because it can be so small and it can be arbitrarily scaled. downsides being it's probably a bit more expensive, with somewhat more complexity
the air volume required would be quite small, I imagine. idk if you keep your air system pressurized though
I can see how you might make either system work without a microcontroller but it would surely be easier to just use an arduino with a relay shield

@skylar@misskey.yandere.love @snappler@poa.st since a peristaltic pump delivers a fixed volume for time you could use a 555 timer in monostable mode with a potentiometer to tune the time it runs when it's triggered without having to reflash the micro
