I hope in future that it will not feel necessary to hurl oneself against those who betray reason, who seek to dine on what they imagine to be the dregs and leavings of a human civilization--civilization, whose power they crave while hating the sense of community that civilization requires. I hope the future doesn't need firebrands. Social harmony and peace has no need for incendiary journalism and Thomas Paine crying out 'Tis time to part!
Hence it is meet that I should turn in the direction my older sibling prefers to haunt, the Past. Both of us have a doozy of a Past and thus we've both had a very difficult time coming to a sane balance with its memory. I myself have been accused of dwelling on the Past but that's only been for the specific reason that it's caused me pain.

Painful things tend to take up a disproportionate amount of one's time. Now that the Past seems a bit less painful to contemplate it's time to sort out what's important from it, what past matters require the most attention...what ghosts haunt us the worst. Hence I must describe one particular ghost as I tend to imagine him. He was caught one day in a wardrobe doing indecorous things with fur coats (real fur, unfortunately, I don't know where he got those and that matter requires inquiry) but I can understand his excitement to a point. Worryingly he was also clad in a lion-skin...also apparently real. Oh dear. (cont'd)
