I was raised Southern Baptist (You know, the sect that schismed from the main Baptist congregation to enshrine slavery in their worship) Growing up, it seemed the more pious someone claimed to be, the less like Jesus they acted.
It's a funny skit and how I imagine MAGA would justify their hate of woke-Jesus today.
It also let me look at my own biases, which I appreciate. Demonization sucks.

@obscurestar@mastodon.social @RnDanger@infosec.exchange @benlockwood@ecoevo.social Thankfully, I've never had to deal very much with (what do you call them?) evangelical Christian groups, but I am educated in how they work and so on. For me, the biggest con with them is the so-called "prosperity gospel." Neatly turns the Sermon on the Mount on its head. I'm a former Catholic, for what it's worth, just in case you're wondering. I'm Buddhist/atheist now.
