The page reads like they send it all to a central location to process, so avoiding sending them back feels like an "efficiency”. I knew folks years ago who were like this - "just give me the scans”. Scan resolution is pretty low ("High-quality JPGs at 1536x1037 in RGB colour”). It's for the disposable camera crowd, essentially, but it'd do in a pinch.
