We're a total global outlier in car fatalities and injuries yet nobody seems concerned and other types of transportation projects are constantly derailed slowed down or cancelled.

They stopped building electric cars in favour of SUVs while the rest of the world goes electric. And nearly a quarter of their prospective clients intends to get a (foreign) electric car too.
