someone suggested i look up #permacomputing and honest gut feeling from me: it seems to be the kind of vaguesauce virtue signalling wordsalad people on the cultural left love that sends normal people running, i can't possibly see how this will do anything to improve digital inclusion and lots of ways it will make it worse.
has anyone had any truck with the term? or seem any good irl impact? would be nice to have my initial feeling confounded

@kim@post.lurk.org https://100r.co/site/permacomputing_101.html is a good intro to what permacomputing people think they're doing but mostly it's hobbyists playing around with code that is not at all usable by normal people we probably need a better term for making computers last longer now
