Anyone remember "Justice League America" (no "of") from the 90s? Seems like Detroit was considered important in the DCU, or enough so that they based a version of the JLA there. Though suppose the case in older media in general ("Beverly Hills Cop"; 90s sitcom "Martin"; etc.).
