@cigitalgem@sigmoid.social I'm not saying the attack was a marketing stunt. It probably really was someone making a mistake doing shit they thought was sandboxed but wasn't.
But the choice to frame it as "AI escaping containment" and to work together on a common framing rather than treating this as an act of industrial sabotage that should be a criminal investigation and billions-scale lawsuit is very much a marketing move serving them both and the interests of the "AI" industry as a whole.
