This is my mildly irresponsible purchase: a #SEGA Mega Jet. It's a handheld-ish #MegaDrive from 1993; mine is the '94 retail version, but these were initially sold to Japan Airlines to rent to harried parents on flights to keep their kids occupied. The original JAL-branded version plugged into a proprietary flip-out LCD screen in the arm rest so you could play games in flight, either from the plane's library or you could BYO cartridges.
