I don't know why, but oh-my-zsh asking me if I want to check for updates is the key thing that makes me want to stop using it and figure out my own config.

@evert@indieweb.social I dropped it a few years back, and went vanilla zsh + starship... And was shocked at how much faster my shell started when I did. I've since moved to fish, which is delightful. Reduced my customizations even further, as so much of what I used to do is just built-in.
