Not representative.
The Brompton is a significant international success.

When I worked for SUSE, I think 5 of my teammates in Nuremberg rode Bromptons.
I was the only Brit. I was _very_ tempted to bring my Birdy, a German folding bike by Riese und Müller, with me: the Germans all rode British folding bikes, while the lone Brit rode a German folding bike.
I stayed in hotels round the corner from the office when there, so I really didn't need it, but I _really_ wanted to...

@lproven@social.vivaldi.net @davidgerard@circumstances.run @denisbloodnok@mendeddrum.org @RogerBW@discordian.social the Brompton dared to be a mostly regular bicycle! with sometimes strange but functioning gearing. clive couldn’t help but make his bikes unusably unique how was the Birdy? I’ve been looking at one of R&M’s full-size Dutch-style e-bikes, but a good folding bike is really tempting as the last mile vehicle after traveling by train or similar
