Was skimming through the #emfcamp videos and found the answer to a problem I've had for a while. Using https://www.crowdsupply.com/meatpi-electronics/wican-pro to get CAN data into #homeassistant in the camper van. Of course, VW don't release details of the codes so you have to scan it yourself. The instructions from MeatPi aren't great, they're time-consuming and will take days. Thanks to https://media.ccc.de/v/emf2026-57-1-obd-ii-obviously-broken-design-too I've discovered CAN sniffers and SavvyCAN. Looks so much easier (although still quite complicated). 🤞
