Who is actually being reported? In "child pornography" cases, 40% of investigations targeted children (ages 10-14) themselves! They often take the photos themselves or share them without thinking. Last year alone, these US reports hit over 8,000 children in Germany. 2/6

In cases of "youth pornography", 53% of investigations targeted minors, criminalizing >12,000 teenagers. The BKA notes: Exploring sexual identity now happens online, regularly involving the creation & sharing of intimate files of themselves or peers (#Sexting). 3/6
