I don't think "raising an issue with the developer" is a viable way to solve that problem. The slop-projects I'm currently seeing on FDroid might still be the kind where there's a human pushing a couple buttons, but they won't ever become usable software imho. If I waste my time there, then nothing of worth will happen. If there are more such projects in the future, then that equation will become worse and worse. It's not at the stage of "there's fully automated slop spam that's entered by machines into fdroid" yet, but if that starts to happen, then the game is already lost. You'll either need quality gates/vetting of new software/vendors or we'll drown in shit. (as said before… we're not there yet. currently most content in FDroid is quite usable)
