Say what you will about Final Fantasy X-2, a game I keep meaning to play but I get maybe an hour into it and just lose all enthusiasm. I feel that's a past me problem, mid-2020's me would probably drag myself through broken glass to finish it. Gruesome imagery aside, something that has stuck with me for the longest time, since I first saw this game at a friend's house, was the opening. Less the cinematic. Less the opening battle. It's #VGMWednesday , so of course it was the song 『Real Emotion』 An absolute jam of a song, though i can see people disliking it because it isn't very Final Fantasy. Let's be fair, direct sequels to games wasn't very Final Fantasy back in the day.
