Some friends of mine had a band called Gevær (Danish for “rifle”) with the explicit aim to be as willfully mediocre and clichéd as possible. Here’s my favorite song of theirs. Personally I find the lead vocals to be too good for the purpose, but they make up for it in other aspects, including poor recording quality (since they recorded all the songs in one of the band member’s living room while drunk) 😄
