Peter's been active on Twitter again, learning how to be more measured with it, trying to get an idea as to why it's so durable. "Elon Musk" isn't a good enough answer to that question. Yes, this is about Elon, but it's about some very very specific detail in the life of Elon Musk which he still clutches. It really is like in #KamenRider Wizard. Unbelievably that series, which I came to late because it was one of those "sleeper hits" as a Kamen Rider show (i.e. poorly regarded when released but revealing its worth slowly over time) really does get across something very fundamental. The enemies target their victims' self-images, in particular going after people whose self-images are tied down to one specific thing. (cont'd)

Elon Musk is bound to Twitter, or 'X' as he still tries to call it even though everyone still talks about "tweets". But the X corporation (whatever nightmares that might hold in terms of business organization) is the public shape of Elon Musk's extreme fixation on himself, or rather upon one little part of himself...the little bit that's still golden and radiant. Like Le Petit Prince I suppose. That was golden and radiant once...then it wasn't, and I didn't know why. But #Fate of all things relit that flame (and many others) and I got Le Petit Prince back. Gosh...how he's grown! (cont'd)
