I created a very short video about how to install and format a memory card for my new Akaso Brave 7 LE (action) camera. I tried creating an account on YouTube, using an alias email address. I failed the step where you need to read a QR code, telling me I’ve used that phone number too many times already. So I logged in using the Google account I had to create when I bought my phone. But the step where you need to name your channel didn’t like any names I came up with. I see that this has been a problem going back years. So I decided to take the leap and create a fediverse Loops account. That went fine until I tried uploading the video, at which point it told me that there were transcoding errors. Not wanting to join another Discord channel I opted to post a question on their GitHub. #loops #youtube
