@hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange I have a terrible premonition that things are going to get a lot, lot worse before they get better. The need to apply for so many roles to even get one interview means that it's tough to sit there and customise your resume and cover letter over and over and over, when there's a machine Right There that self-proclaimed "experts" giving bad advice claim is the solution to all your problems. That makes it easier to apply for roles, so every role gets more applicants, so it's harder to stand out and get an interview, so everyone is sending out even more applications... it's a very vicious cycle.
