@wgiwf@poa.st @BowsacNoodle@poa.st Fun fact: DOAWK was originally meant for adults, but the publisher decided that the print version would be popular among middle schoolers. You can see this in the original 2004 webcomic version, which has some slightly edgier parts (nothing too crazy, just stuff like alcohol references and mild profanity, but stuff Scholastic, the slop mill, wouldn't like)

That company is such a slop mill, half of the stuff is just slop based upon games kids are into at the moment like Minecraft or Five Nights at Freddy's that the company just churns out (there is a bunch of crappy FNaF books that are ambiguously canon and make no sense)

I remember reading it on Fun Brain as a middle schooler, thinking it would be below my age demo, but I ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would.
