Yeah, so immediately after writing this poast I sat down to a hand that turned into a $4,000 pot where we had a straight over straight, full house, quad sevens, and the winner a straight flush. We just hit the Bad Beat Jackpot. I'm practically speechless. Unfortunately I didn't get the big or small end, but I did get table share which I can pay my mortgage with now. Board was 7c7d8c6c9d I had A5 suited (dummy end straight) other guy had AT suited (big end of the straight) other guy had pocket 8's (8s full of 7's) loser of the hand had Pocket 7's (so quad 7's) winner of the hand 4c5c (straight flush to the 8.) I know most of you probably don't understand what happened but it is unbelievably astronomical and most poker rooms have a special promotion where if you lose with quad fives or better you win a massive jackpot. 2 of the players are chopping 6figs rn.
