Mechanic validated the barely audible, intermittent truck sound, reproduce it without having to drive it around, and thinks it's something to do with the suspension and a wheel/wheel housing. They need another day to suss out the precise source. He was tickled when I said I figured this job needed a mystical master mechanic, because it required good intuitive sense to figure it out.
