earlier i mentioned how AI will do for the human mind what cars have done for the body (along with the corresponding changes to our cities and environment to accommodate and force us to accommodate the tech) and one of the thread participants noted that the two are not equal in that cars have a very clear objective non-negotiably falsifiable physical effect of moving actual physical materials through more space in less time but also that nothing about AI use matches the feeling of a joyride but it occurs to me, thinking about this imagining an allistic unreason-before-illogic rationalizing-not-reasoning normie: a few minutes of the wind in your hair has nothing on the constant on-demand smoke blowing up your ass by an apparent entity that is famous for having at its disposal all of human knowledge, *despite or because of that* will always fawn over you unconditionally and treat you with nothing but obeisance and the respect the most insidious parts of your unconscious insist you deserve, and very clearly writes better in form, while in substance more or less equal to, when compared to the richest and most famous YA author of our time
