2017, three years post gamergate You know, I was wondering if the author elided the gap between early 2000s and 2017 because of the cringey and sometimes outright awful stuff that came out of the rationalists… but you’ve reminded me the skeptic movement also had some nasty bits both within it and as offshoots.
