Another view;
"There is a growing number of people who really are against all kinds of AI. While historically Luddites were wrong: Instead of fighting against the capitalist system of exploitation, they directed their anger against the machines. With AI the situation is slightly different. AI poses an existential threat to humanity."

"Even when it is in the right hands it could go wrong due to misalignment. Even if one assumes that AI can ultimately be really beneficial to us when done right, it is currently not done right at all. We are in an AI arms race where companies spend almost no resources on safety checks and alignment.
