My recommendation is AirVPN. Comes with port forwarding and is easier to setup than Proton

PIA is still up there, in my opinion. They couldn’t care less about torrenting, proven no-logs service, port-forwarding, split-tunnelling for those pesky .gov sites that deny basic privacy rights. And it’s - debatably - best feature, it’s cheap.
