We need to drain all the fields to make artificial beans with our Star Trek-style replicators, and allocate all resources once devoted to the antiquated craft of "farming" to perfecting our synthetic product. Eventually - any day now, just wait a little longer and keep paying us - we'll have infinite artificial agriculture (IAA) and solve world hunger. Meanwhile, shut up about "farming" or get left behind, Luddite.
