I was watching a video of trans experiences, which included this lovely older trans woman. And everything she said was very resonant, except for one thing: she said that in her experience the sex that trans women have after vaginoplasty is typically disappointing, brings little pleasure, and they often give up on it after a while.
This, to be frank, is not the experience I'm familiar with, within my own social group. And I wondered at first if this implied that vaginoplasty techniques had improved so rapidly in the last couple of decades.
But then as she spoke more about her dating life, I realised something else: she seemed to have gone straight from having sex with cis women, to having sex with cis men. Which was probably a common life arc in her own social group.
And I don't want to be so crass as to say "girl, that's your problem right there", but... 😬
