I imagine all the cantilevered box structures would need to be thicker / stronger (more expensive) for a structure with large overhangs like that, compared to a standard "vertical stack of rectangular units" style.
Incidentally it also slightly reminded me of Simon Stahlenhag's style.

@BibbleCo@infosec.exchange That's one reason I liked the Nakagin design: it looked surrealist-futurist, the round windows especially. With today's building materials, maybe it would be possible to better achieve that design. Or maybe they'd come up with something entirely new: a structure where the modules could be slid out like drawers or something. Given housing shortages, and the rise of the intererst in tiny houses, I do wonder why there hasn't been more experimentation with cheap ownable apartment pods.
