@Npars01@mstdn.social @danlyke@researchbuzz.masto.host actually, I made a point about something similar recently, about how Barnsley's Iterated Function Systems were going to be the future of data compression. This whole LLM shit is kind of the same thing. Mathematically, it's just bullshit. AI/Hutter Prize? Well, if you squint and have a good enough deck for the VCs, any amount of investment is possible.
