@narF@mstdn.ca I think that's it exactly. A lot of people don't distinguish between "political" and "partisan," so if they want to opt out (or duck out) of a specific controversy, they'll claim they don't want to be "political."

@OrionKidder@mas.to When people say "I don't like talking politics", it usually means that they don't like to argue. Possibly because they don't like being proven wrong. Possibly because they are afraid they might actually be wrong but they don't want to think about it. 😅 Usually because they benefit from the status quo. 😔
