Oh look, I'm not late with #FarmerFatFuck this week! - - - - - Week 9: Gone, Not Forgotten The flowers are still blooming. That is a VERY nice thing and I just wish to have spaced these apart better. It just feels like if they were all spaced out more... we could see even bigger blooms. Peppers are starting to slow down on producing blooms. Must be due to how hot and the lack of natural rainfall. Chives are recovering nicely and will need to be cut + dried next week. Grandma was smart to make sure to plant these for future steaks and butter. Other than losing two Lettuce plants, they are getting tall again after the last harvest. After being cleaned - they made for some delicious BLT sandwiches today. Now comes the bad part - had to remove the failing cucumber plants. Between a lack of sunlight and space, it is my fault for those two plants dying so early. Otherwise, the count for produce is 10 from the other two vines. Note for future self: You need to space these out more AND teach them to grow upwards faster. The extra airflow + sunlight will have better results - idiot. Tomatoes... just, Tomatoes everywhere. I did notice a few are FINALLY turning from green towards red. With all of these flowers turning into produce - it might be time to prune and let the sun mature them I better cut it off here and stop rambling since big posts are unpopular.
