The process to write this was to take a "here's what Trump's policies mean for you" example scenario that starts off with "Suzie is a senior citizen living with diabetes. Due to her low income, she relies on manufacturer assistance programs to get her diabetic medications for free." etc. etc. and all they did was rewrite it, sentence for sentence, to turn it into a first-person statement. How do I know this? Because a real person, especially if they're upset, would not write like that. But policy explainers are written exactly like this. A policy staffer wrote this originally, and then a pr/ad person rewrote it. If you engage with this, you're engaging in shadowboxing. If you promote this and promote discourse about it, you're promoting shadowboxing. You're spending your own AND OTHER PEOPLE'S attention and time on going "haha leopards eating faces party" instead of actually engaging politically to create change. You're also showing off that you're either gullible, or that you don't actually care about political change instead of pointless engagement. Mastodon isn't for engagement farming, so don't fall for it.
