@invadersil@mastodon.social 100% this. I live in Bloomington IN. Its 1 of 3 liberal/leftist spots here. Indianapolis is another. Lake county (near Chicago) is the 3rd. If you stay IN Indianapolis and not leave the city, you'll do relatively fine. Leave the city and you "look" LGBTQ, yeah, bad shit will happen.
