With thanks to @AlienJay@burningboard.net for the recommendation, I have spent some time this evening setting up https://dockhand.pro/. It may take some time to see if it handles automatic updates of containers for me (and #Forgejo is a bit fiddly with that), but optimistic to see if it solves a problem for me.
