@fey@pagan.plus Ahh that's interesting and makes sense! Completely uncertain how rational or irrational the concern is, to be honest, but if you ever do decide it's safe to try them I'd love to know what the experience is -- I don't think they'd really do well here but have a minor obsession with them as a really important staple food crop in pre-settler North America.

    @Siiin@pagan.plus for sure! I know of a nursery a few hours away in Maine that may sell them because they specialize in a lot of native perennial foodstuffs, so if I'm ever able to go out there I suspect groundnuts will be one thing I investigate there. Otherwise I just try to remember what they look like & check for them in riparian areas. I understand the minor obsession, since that's how I'm getting about the Eastern Agricultural Complex (despite discovering I may now be sunflower allergic as well, which is *horrendously* unfair if so).
