I swear it’s gonna look real nice when it’s done (if we don’t butcher it in some way). This makeshift panel is a pre-finished maple which is actually going on the inside of our cabinets.
But the final panels will be white oak with brushed brass handles, like the rest of our cabinetry will be.

Spouse pointed out that even though both the door and drawer panels were cut from the same piece, the color looks different because of the way the grain is oriented: vertical on the door, and horizontal on the drawer. It makes me wonder if that’s some of the frustrating color difference I’ve noticed in other kitchen cabinet photos of white oak. #KitchenRemodel #KitchenDesign #InteriorDesign #Kitchen #DIY
