I recently watched The Boy Who Harassed the Wind. It was unexpectedly refreshing to watch a movie without any white people in it. Western media is typically made with whiteness in mind: either white people are the main characters or there has to be some white self-insert character to convey how the story of POC relates to whiteness. From the expectation of white people being the default, the red hat in this post isn’t so contradictory. And I’m sure a lot of people think this way.
