@karlauerbach@sfba.social The voting ID isn't valid for any other purpose apart from voting. You have to provide a photo & National Insurance number (this is the number you need for work, tax etc). The gov website says "Apply for photo ID to vote You’ll be asked for: a digital photo of yourself - check what kind of photo you need on the Electoral Commission website your National Insurance number You can still apply if you do not have a National Insurance number. You’ll need to provide other documents to prove your identity, for example a birth certificate, bank statement and utility bill."
