105mm macro lens, so I risked falling into the pond for this one, but if you look close, you might be able to see some detail in the compound eye of this blue dasher. Thankful for a swiveling display with good contrast in bright light.

I think the compression takes away some of the detail so here is a cropped version of the face. Dragonflies only exist in this beautiful adult stage for a couple of weeks before they die and it looks like this one is trying to enjoy every moment of it.
