I'm writing my next blog post on things to think about before getting your first guide dog. I've got a few things already noted down such as, checking out multiple schools, making sure O&M skills are good, asking the question would a guide dog enhance my life at this moment, etc. I'm reaching out to see what I might be missing. What were your thoughts when you applied for your first guide dog? What things did you wish you knew before applying? Is there anything that I'm missing that you think I should add?
