I was in the kitchen getting things ready before breakfast this morning and who should I see peeping in the screen door but this white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus):

The deer reminded me I should check on the raspberries in the backyard, and sure enough we have our first ripe black raspberry (Rubus occidentalis) of the season! #berries #BrambleBerries #gardening
