Just saw an article from Novara media about the increasing role of universities in the defence (war?) industries. Mentioned as one of the worse was where I studied UCL. UCL was founded on tolerance and had a proud history of inclusivity. It was a place to speak out and be radical against the injustices of the world. As students we proudly took on the establishment whether it was in the streets or in the university itself. Now sadly we see through this (and other recent actions like the promoting of transphobia) that the University is lost to corporate capitalisms.
