I think it clear there are warehouses full of shrink-wrapped GPUs gathering dust. This is, of course, video the “hyperscalers” don’t want anyone to see. But I’m sure some enterprising security guard could help the information-starved public out. Revelation of warehouses packed with unused GPUs would certainly shake the markets as it collapses the “demand story.” I can’t wait to see it.

  • @prietschka@mastodon.social Satya Nadella admitted in November that Microsoft’s got Nvidia rigs piled in warehouses waiting for power: > The biggest issue we are now having is not a compute glut, but it’s power and it’s sort of the ability to get the builds done fast enough close to power. So, if you can’t do that, you may actually have a bunch of chips sitting in inventory that I can’t plug in. In fact, that is my problem today, right? It’s not a supply issue of chips. It’s actually the fact that I don’t have warm shells to plug into. So the world knows and it doesn't matter! https://pivot-to-ai.com/2025/12/11/lets-power-ai-with-supersonic-jet-engine-turbines/

@prietschka@mastodon.social I, too, am quite curious where the boxes of GPUs are collecting dust. Someone must know.
