2 weeks ago Chat Control 1.0 was extended in the EU.
There was also a lot of confusion around Chat Control 1.0 vs Chat Control 2.0, so we created the slider above
Chat Control 2.0 is the biggest threat for end-to-end encrypted communication providers like us at Tuta which is why we continue to say no to #ChatControl & fight for everyone's right to privacy. ✊🏻❤️🔒

Labeling the regulation of AI systems under the supervision of the EU Commission as "chat control" is a gross oversimplification. I would describe it, rather, as AI governance. Comprehensive surveillance was doomed to fail from the start.
