@joeress@mastodon.social I find it so frustrating. Google used to work like an extended memory for me - I could fire off 'kitchen sink' queries around half-remembered factoids and it'd give me what I was looking for, or the thing would at least be in the first page or two. Now, it decided what it thinks I mean and gives me a page of near-identical, wrong results based on things like location (which isn't even correct because my IP is in a major city miles away) and/or popularity and not my niche interests.
