I try not to rant too much, but today I was angry. My neighbor ran his lawn sprinkler for 10 continuous hours from morning through evening in 100°F/38°C heat. There’s nothing I can do about it (because reasons), but it was so frustrating to see all that water being selfishly wasted in the heat and drought. 🤬 The good news: While hand-watering my own garden this evening, I found some peace in my tomato plants. 🍅☮️ My neighbor has nothing to show for his efforts, except a bunch of useless green grass and (hopefully) an astronomical water bill. Me? I have fresh tomatoes, and cucumbers, and chiles, and carrots, and peaches, and wildflowers, and pollinators, and birds, and… 🌾🐝 I think that’s what counts the most. 😊 /rant off #gardening #food #water #Colorado
