I found this: https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/controversies-argentina-world-cup-journey-1808300 so according to the article the reason people hate on Argentina is a misunderstanding of why there is no black player on their team. And also because they're really successful, because think FIFA may be biased in their favor, and they are seen as arrogant.

@Phangurl@starbase80.wtf because he plays like an asshole. He is smart and quick thinking enough to know exactly when the referee can't see a foul and uses this ruthlessly. Same as the whole argentinian team btw. That foul that got one of them a red card in the final, could have led to serious injuries for the spanish player, especially on such a hard and bad quality field.
